SS does not have braided brake hoses and I really do not want to import from the UK when it should be a matter of the correct Earls bits - but which bits??

Front calliper seems to be AN3 but too long a reach for a male adapter. The other bulkhead end is larger to mate with the stock female nut - AN4??

Does anyone have a list of the parts required for both front and rear hose

You might ask the guys at Wilwood..... all of the threads are 3/8-24TPI anyway

Caliper ends are 3/8" X 24 with a copper crush seal. Line connections are also 3/8" X 24 with a common 39 deg. male flare end.

people eat Tide pods too.... doesn't make them right
Well I can't resist, I hear they're delicious and yet nutritious but I'm still not going to try them ;)

Some guys run a shop and need to think about the parts they install. Clearly it doesn't matter what you put on your own car. Now I don't live in a state or country where they do real inspections either. It's laughable in Calunicornia OBD says you're engine is ok and good to go with bald tires.

Even aeroquip hoses arent USA approved?
They are listed as not being DOT approved. They're sold as being for off road use. That does not stop them from being sold. Buyer assumes all responsibility for using them if you decide to use them on the street. There are 15 out of 50 states that require annual safety inspections so it's possible that most states don't look for the use of DOT approved products.. We have disclaimers on the bottom of invoices for many products that states that the dealer neither assumes / authorizes any other person to assume any liability in connection with the sale of said products and in no way affects the provisions of the manufacturer. This is a widely used disclaimer by many companies. The reason for not being DOT approved probably is the cost and time involved to undergo the testing and the small volume of sales.

As I am a shop, I will not fit them due to liability issues.... Individuals are more than welcome to take their lives into their own hands!!

I once noted some years ago that (under pressure) the braided line held it's braids but the liner seeped thru. Probably OK for mild grocery getting.

I wonder if an owner fits them and has an accident due to brake line failure if they become liable for operating an unsafe/ illegally modified vehicle... Thinking that the propensity for litigation stateside that could be an issue

I guess that would be so for anyone being their own engineer, I am sure the Rootes engineers tried to make a car that was wholly compatible with each other Too risky to deviate from the original a lot of the time. One modification often leads to further modifications Then what do you have !

Im not so sure if 1 leads to another... They threw a ford V8... Top loader and sailsbury rear end in an alpine... Incrased its weight and made it a lot faster.... But left the brakes alone 😂

True , but that 260 or 289 was not good enough so let’s go bigger with the engine and the carburetor and tires etc 🤣

That probably depends on injuries incurred in the accident. Does law enforcement check every vehicle for violations after an accident ? Here in the states there are "At Fault " states and "No Fault " states. There are 12 No Fault states . Liability coverage is required here in Ohio along with uninsured or under insured coverage. Accident victims must first make a claim on the at fault driver's insurance. If the at fault party doesn't have sufficient coverage then the victim can use the underinsured coverage of their own insurance. If you're not satisfied then you find an attorney.

you've described exactly what happens here in my home state of Washington. If I were to install a part that caused an accident, or made a car unroadworthy, I would be liable

I would assume you carry business insurance and operate under an LLC. Most shops or businesses in this part of the world operate under an LLC which protects the extent of liability. Many of us that own a business also carry large personal liability policies.

Lol personal liability isn't commerical exposure.
Wow, now that all you unlicensed insurance and legal specialists have spoken can we get back to the subject. I don't recall any markings on the SS brake lines. Everyone of us is fed up with the eye rolling at the local auto parts store when asked year make and model. How about suggested alternatives ?
