TIGER TRACK DAY – WILLOW SPRINGS, OCTOBER 24 – 25

C.A.T. Club meeting will be during the midday lunch break October 24 (where the Tigers usually gather together in the paddock).

The fee for participating on the track is $200/car for both days with pre-registration, which is due by October 20th. After that, pay $250 at the event. Make checks payable to Cobra Owners Club of America and mail to:
COCOA
PO Box 823
La Canada, CA 91012

This is not a race and there are no awards, but a great chance to enjoy a safe, fun weekend with your car. $200 for a weekend is a great bargain, which will include a driving tips session courtesy of COCOA. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who have not driven their Tiger on the track to learn in a safe and welcoming atmosphere!

Spectators are welcomed and also car owners that are not driving on the track. There is a $15 fee per person (everyone) at the entrance at the front gate.

On Saturday, October 24, we will have our October C.A.T. club meeting around noon. Come out and drive your Tiger on the track or just come to watch and admire the Tigers as well as some phenomenal Cobras and hear the song a Ford V8 makes at full throttle.

There will be a tech inspection beginning at 8:00 a.m. with rules very similar to a Tigers United or C.A.T. autocross event.
1. Dual throttle return springs are required.
2. Battery hold down much be secure.
3. Anything that can slide around in the cab or trunk must be removed.
4. Tires, brakes, and seatbelts must all be in good shape.
5. Check for any loose lugs, bolts, nuts, wheel bearings, etc.
6. A roll bar is needed for anyone wishing to participate in the faster groups.
7. Have a fire extinguisher attached to a fixed point with a metal bracket.
8. No leaks! We do not want to oil down the track for the 7-figure car behind you.
9. Wear a SNELL 2000 or newer helmet.

There will be a MANDATORY drivers’ meeting on Saturday, October 24, at 9:00 a.m. (This might change due to social distancing regulations.)

For those wishing to attend both days, there are options for lodging. In the past, the Cobra Club has used the Oxford Suites in Lancaster. https://www.oxfordsuiteslancaster.com

A closer, but more budget, option is the Devonshire Inn in Rosamond. https://www.devonshireinn.com

If you have any questions, please contact Dan MacMedan at Vicepresident@catmbr.org.
