I just finished "Glass blasting" my Tiger today with outstanding results. The guy that did the work does it thruout S. CA and is very easy to work with and the most importantly he did what and when he said he would and at the agreed pricing.
It sure looks naked now !
Glass is a hard enough media to cause panel warping in the wide span areas. We use a fine pottery grade glass at a sharp angle to minimize expansion buckling. A couple of seconds at 90 degrees will expand a panel more than it will recover even with a quick broad torch and ice bag.
Randy, thanks for your concern. We were aware of the warping possibilities and the blaster was very careful; thankfully no warping occurred and no great surprises popped up.
