Hello CAT Members,

Kicking off 2024 we will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of our Tigers and my hope is to get our cars out in front of as many people as possible.
We will start by having our January 21st club meeting at the Annual Shelby Cruise-in at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The show is centered around Shelby and 60 years of the Mustang but our cars dovetail right in there and we are always looking for an opportunity to educate the public about our cars and their Shelby heritage. We will be hoping to coordinate with the Petersen to get a cordoned off area for our Tigers, at this point TBD. The show runs from 8am to 11am, with our club meeting at 10am. Depending on how they park us we will find a suitable spot for a meeting.
$35 to enter your car into the show and gets you complimentary parking and entrance into the museum. Spectators are $29, which gets you access to the museum as well as parking, but there is also a free ticket that allows access to the cruise-in but not museum entrance or parking.

Rain or Shine: Shelby/Mustang Cruise-In Information Sunday Jan 21st, 2024



Hello All!



For those of you, who have signed up for Sunday’s Shelby Cruise-in at the Petersen Museum, you will have already received the email below, but this is to reiterate that this is a rain or shine event. Fortunately, and hoping the prediction holds, we should escape any serious storm activity. The Petersen has reconfigured the parking structure organization so more vehicles can be under covered parking in case it rains. The downside is that the Petersen Museum did not offer any options about possibly parking our Tigers together. I can only suggest that we try to get there as close to opening as possible so we can enter together as best we can.



Hope to see you all there and crossed fingers it stays dry!

SUNDAY, JAN 21ST 8:00AM - 11:00AM Rain or shine, it’s happening! This Cruise-In will be centered around the celebration of the 60th anniversary of both Shelby American and the Mustang. We will have a panel discussion with designers, engineers, drivers, celebrities and distribute special awards to selected vehicles.

Arrival Please arrive starting at 7:30AM - 8:00AM. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter the third floor of the parking garage until after 7:30AM.

Parking Covered parking is on a first come - first served basis. If you’re coming as a group or club, you will be parked in order of arrival. Please plan accordingly.

Check-In After parking your vehicle, please find our Petersen Museum tent to receive your museum admission, parking, and meal vouchers. Please have your receipt and/or your digital ticket ready. If you’re a Petersen Member, please check-in at the Members Express Booth.
