I had 14 bicycles at one time. All post war as the prewar bikes were more expensive.
Schwinn dealers were a lot like Rootes dealers so the pictures that Gary has put in that listing weren't always how they were delivered or assembled. I had Panthers Jaguars as well which were Delux bikes.
My favorite was my dad had a Wasp balloon paperboy bike. It was extra heavy duty and he would sit on the handlebars and ride it while facing backwards.
I'm down to 3 bikes now. There's a Corvette too that's cool. These middleweight bikes were between the skinny English tires and the old school balloon tires. They are a lot of fun especially on the bike path that runs between Santa Monica and Torrance beach my yout stomping ground. Oh and yes I have a set of original pedals for it that don't have reflectors in them. I also I have an old family Stingray. Lots of collectibles have suffered I remember ten or fifteen years ago a 1964 date code stamp Stingray with all the right stuff was a $4,000 bicycle..
