New Tiger 1a owner. I'd like to put an interesting mag wheel (15") on my car. Maybe something vintage. Has anybody had success with any vintage style mag wheels on their Tiger? Thanks.

Bill,

i was a big fan of the PSE replica of Hollywood Sports car Tiger Halibrand 5 hole wheel, but I believe they are no longer in business?

The are the Halibrand starburst and GT40 wheels and Image wheels to a BRM GT40 replica wheel.

There are VTO wheels that replica the libre wheels fitted to tigers n the 60's

You can see examples of these and others in these threads for images:

Me too was a big fan of the PSE imitation of The show biz industry Activities car Competition Halibrand 5 opening rim, but I believe they won't be in business? There are the Halibrand starburst and GT40 tires and Picture tires to a BRM GT40 imitation rim. . . . .

Here are my Cosmics finished a bit differently and with Cosmic center caps...just for info (I really like the Tiger center caps BTW). Every once and a while I see them on e bay although adapters are needed as the bolt pattern is different. If you want the model number, let me know...I have it somewhere. You can also find them more readily in England...FYI

I apologize for the tardy reply. I actually typed out an answer this afternoon, but I obviously forgot to hit submit.

That said, not much to add to what Growler said. My Cosmics were on the car when I bought it a few years back. I am not sure if they actually make cosmics anymore, but you do see them on ebay. I believe there is a company called JBW wheels in the UK that make a modern version. OBTW I have stock hubs/lugs and do not require an adapter.

I had some cosmics about 6 years ago.. had them in the rare size that suits the cars well 13x5.5 .. that little bit narrower helps with the front valence clearance.

It is not that hard to get them in the correct bolt pattern as they were fitted to many Uk ford escorts and cortinas which share our bolt pattern. If you really wanted a set you can search ebay Uk for escort + wheels or cortina + wheels.. the JBW would be a good option as you can probably get 14 or 15" versions.

Yes 13x5.5 rings a bell...and Mk2. I tried finding an extra for my spare but couldn't find the smaller bolt pattern that I needed. It seems that the PO who put the Cosmics on must have either got them for a good price or had them around as the (2.75") bolt pattern required an adapter. If I recall correctly, the standard bolt pattern is easy to find. I had forgot I had been looking for the odd smaller size...Michael is correct.
