Moto-Lita Steering Wheel Adapter Hub

What is everyone doing with the center telescope lock adjuster bolt threads when installing an aftermarket MotoLita adapter. The lock bolt is long and if you put a sleeve on it so you can lock the telescopic function you can't install the horn button. I have seen many with the lock bolt cut shorter to make it work but I don't want to do that

I was going with a Momo wheel and bought this from a Sunbeam guy that went back to stock. I thought it was well designed to keep the stock hub, didn’t know if the same could be done with the Mota
