This General Tiger Discussion forum is meant to be used for general posts about Tigers. It was not meant to be used for a post about an individual Tiger nor to talk about a part on Tigers.
When CAT started this Forum, “General Discussion” was the only category. All posts were put into this one tub. It became chaotic. Members complained, demanding we establish multiple areas so that when one wanted to find a particular item or “tree” the entire “forest” wasn’t hiding it.
Webmaster Duke Samouce then gave us the basic structure we have today. Thanks to him we have many cubby holes to store information. This makes subsequent searching much easier.
However, we, the Administrators and Moderators have become a bit lax in allowing threads to remain in a wrong section. So, again, complaints have arisen – rightfully so. In the future you may see us become increasingly vigilant. Incorrect posts will be moved or deleted entirely.
We realize that Forum members may be confused if they see something like a post in “General Tiger Discussion” about a car for sale. But when they later try to return to that thread discover it’s not where it had been because in the interim it had been moved to “Cars for Sale”, its proper location. Such a move would never have been necessary if the Original Poster had started the thread in the proper category. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience our future moderation may cause, but we feel future benefit makes it worthwhile. In the long run, if we succeed in keeping our house tidy and neat, it will be easier to find earlier posts since they will not be scattered throughout the Forums.
Our goal is to place posts where they would be easiest found when searching. If you have questions about where your post should go, please feel free to contact us.
