Rear Brakes and such

Finally got back to working on the rear brakes on the car. Buttoned up the suspension stuff so moved back to getting the caliper installed.

Bolted it on and found that 'The Caliper is centered on the rotor' statement was not really correct as the way the guy did it was to put air pressure on the caliper with the pads installed and clamping the rotor... Well I'm pretty sure that does not guarantee things will be centered as is the case here. Just means the pads squeeze the rotor but not necessarily centered.

Added and removed shims between the caliper to get is centered up, then had to deal with chopping a socket to get the torque wrench on the bolt. All good until the safety wire job. Not my best but will keep the bolts from falling out.

Just not a lot of room on the passenger side with the Panhard bracket. Got it done in any case. Hope the driver side goes easy, but you know how things go on the Tiger :)

One thing I really like is this style of Wilwood caliper needs no tools, cotter pins, or odd circle clips to get pads in and out.

Tossed in some BP20 for the rear and calling it a day.

Nice and easy clip to get to pads!

Had the actual needed bolts with safety wire holes drilled ready to go.

Custom made 'shorty' socket to be able to squeeze the torque wrench in on the lower bolt which is close to the leaf spring

Just short enough to get the bolt head in the socket and yet fit the tight space, original size vs. shorty

Safety Wire stuff ready to go. Really tight space and bolt only drilled once so difficult to work with, but got it done.
