In honor of Carroll Shelby's January birthday, the Peterson Automotive Museum is holding another one of its Cruise-Ins (cars and coffee), celebrating all things Shelby. If you've never been, it's a casual, outdoor event and can be attended in a variety of ways. For $26, (less for Peterson members), you can pre-register for the event and enter your car, including museum admission, free parking and complimentary food and drink. A second option is to park in the parking lot ($15?) and pay $17 ($15 for Seniors, 62 and above) for admission to the Cruise-In and Peterson Museum. Third option is to park on Wilshire, (still available nearby despite construction of Metro Line and LACMA Museum), use parking lot stairwell to head up to 3rd floor (of Peterson parking lot) to Cruise-In. Event is held from 9:00 am to 12:30 (best to get there before 11 am). Below are photos from the 2020 Shelby event, and last month's Porsche 356 event. For more information, go to https://www.petersen.org. If you're nearby, this is a must do!

Here are some photos from the 2022 Shelby gathering at the Peterson. The highlight for me was seeing a couple 260 ci wire-wheeled early Cobras actually driving around (I've only ever seen them in museums or static displays.) Thanks to Jere T. for representing CAT with his amazing Tiger. --Steven Alcala

Steven - Thanks for sharing some photos of the event. It looks like there were some super cars there, including Jere's Tiger.
