I have a series 5 Alpine with a 2.8 V6 in it. Not sure about the shocks, although evert time I hit a small pot hole, it feels like a hard jolt. I am not sure if the shocks bottom out or what, but I would love to improve the ride, I use the car on the streets, not the track

Hard to know what your issue is... Does the car have lowered or stiffened springs...does it have old sagging springs ?
What shocks are in it?
What size wheel and tyre do you have?
Do you have the coil spring insulators at the top ?
Are the snub rubbers correct?

What is bottoming? Have you got photos of your car sitting on a level surface to share?

Need a lot more info about what's there before we can chime in for Ya.
