So why is the nut on the carburetor end closer to 12 mm than 7/16 or 1/2
I am pretty sure I have had one that had a fabric and not plastic cover. The assumption of mine is that the original cables had a fabric cover. Solely as a point of reference the fabric ones were phased out in the late 50s on other wheeled contraptions
But does that explain the nut size as after all it could be mistaken for a bicycle cable.
