I have dealt with him on the other end, as a buyer. I cannot blame him for wanting to make a buck, I mean pound. I am sure he has a thirsty car or two and don't even want to know what VAT is that the UK lads pony up on.

i'm sure you know jeff and already know the answer to why he's selling this. jeff does have a concourse condition MK1 and a modified MK 1 plus other beams. he does real good selling alpine transmissions with OD units and also other items. i know he has helped me out in the past with items i found in the UK. the mention of VAT goes back to a discussion some of us had this morning while eating breakfast in Pittsburgh prior to heading over to the vintage races. i guess the VAT is a max of 20 % of the sale but on some items it's less and some items have no VAT at all. we don't pay it on items shipped to the states.
