People seem to know I am an old photo and magazine geek, so a friend stopped by today with one for me to add to my collection. There are 2 Cobras on the cover (road test) but there was an article about Bonneville. Stan Peterson was there with his Tiger, ran 149 but missed the record. Be neat to know whatever happened to his car....

Stan Peterson

A number of years ago a Stan Peterson used to come over to our classic car race series in New Zealand. He raced single seaters and the last car I recall he had was a Formula 1 rear engined BRM. He also lost a number of cars in the California bushfires quite a while back. I wonder if this is the same Stan Peterson?

Interesting. I like in the above pic the size of the rear tires and the salt coming off of them......makes it look fast.
