Project '66 NC Tiger - EBAY

Duke.... that was about 6 years back now.. and IIRC you snipped it off ebay.. had that auction run full distance they might have got a better price.. I thought you did quite well out of your sly purchase....and then in some ways were lucky with the mishap after as it allowed you to get some additonal work done at the insurance co's cost.

Not saying this car is good value, but a straight project with no rust would be close to this at least

The funny thing about Tigers is that they keep slowly climbing in price--believe me I know. After buying 5 Tigers over 30 years I have seen them climb, ugh.....:( That's good for us that have them though.
 
Litle steep

At 21,000 for this project. The only bargain is the eBay seller fee of 75 bucks. Seems like too much trouble to not hose the vin tag with primer:)

Bruce, no crying over spilled milk or cars you sold on for a profit.

Having restored many of the little critters, the asking price is merely the nose of the camel entering the tent. Even at half the asking, it's a long wallet road ahead. :(
 
That was then, this is now!

I guess that 'project' car sellers see the valuations of more finished cars and always think that 'with a little work' :rolleyes: there's will be worth a lot more. Easy to be unrealistic as to what it takes to get it there...

I was just looking at Hagerty's latest April valuations and on a percentage basis, prices sure are moving!!

Here's what it works out to for a '66 MK1A over the last 16 months...Dec. 2012 - April 2014

Condition 1 + 47%

Condition 2 + 45%

Condition 3 + 32%

Condition 4 + 14%

No crying Warren--just observing. It's all relative anyway as everything keeps going up, have you gone grocery shopping lately, sheesh. The only thing not going up is my income.......:eek:
