I may be wrong, but think that Michael is using the English term for soft top. The Mk 1 does not appear to have the metal folding covers that go over the soft top when it is folded down.

the large top boot cover is listed as the " rear seat back panel" and the side covers are listed as " hood tray covers". they're almost useless with many roll bars since you can't open them. probably why they're not installed. I also noticed that alpine body shells were listed and had a part number for each series of cars. I wonder if anyone ever ordered one.

Good eye and memory. That sure looks like the same car. When I looked at the JAL number, the last 3 digits matched.
