Just got home from two days racing at Laguna Seca.
We had 4 Tigers enter the mid-week event and they did really well in the 3 races.
In the first race John Morton finished second in our Tiger with Tom Sakai in 6th. Dale A and Dave Stone's HSC Tigers didn't start that race.
John won the second race with Tom Sakai in 4th and Dale in 6th.
By the last race, the trophy race, both Dave and ourselves had already packed up and headed home (we broke a spring retainer and who knows what else). That left Tom and Dale to carry on. That race was pretty wild with collisions and spins but at the end the winner was a Tiger - Tom Sakai's!
To make the day even sweeter, John Morton drove Tom's TransAm Pontiac to a win in its run group so Tom collected even more hardware. There were only 6 run groups and Tom's cars won 2 of them. Dan Walter's wrenches must be doing something right!
Congrats to Tom and all the Tigers who gave a hint as to what we'll see in August at Laguna Seca.
