You get up in the morning with no plans...turn on the computer...check the CAT forum...see what everybody is doing with their cars...look at the pictures...

Next thing you know, you're out driving your Tiger...people giving you thumbs up at the stoplights...a few good blasts at select points during your drive...

Pull back into the garage...stupid grin on your face...rest of the day...who cares!

This was one of those days:)

Yes

But I also find myself walking out to the garage just to see it sleeping and hear the newly rebuilt clock ticking away.

When I sold my MK1a I met the buyer in a bank park lot. As buyer attempted to work me down the passers by sold the car for me.

I have a hard time when they call it a "cute car" or rail on and on "Get Smart," No, I do not ask the girls if they want to see the cone of silence.

Son borrows Mom's car for school and after school commitment.
Mom says, I need the Expedition.

Whats a man to do?

A: Commute to work in the Tiger!

I try and meet a friend once a week for coffee--I take the Tiger he takes his 65 Vette roadster...the Tiger always gets more attention.:)

Even though I can't drive the Tiger year round, I leave the car uncovered so I can see it whenever I'm in the garage. A longtime friend visited recently and his comment was, "that car looks better and better the older it gets."

I'm not sure anyone would say the same thing about its owner. :)

I'm often asked which toy I would keep if I could keep just one, and they are surprised when I answer immediately. I think you all know the answer.

I'm also guilty of going out to the garage for no reason except to look at the Tiger. Sometimes, I'll open the door and stick my head inside- there's just something about that vintage car smell that takes me right back to 1970 and my first Tiger.

Yes, I have those kind of days - but the other event is that on a day when I have had a bad day (work, family problems etc.) I find it therapeutic to crank it up and go for a run, usually in excess of 80 MPH if possible - cheaper than a shrink...

Those of us who went through high school, dating, college- our 'Wonder Years"- with a particular car (in my case, the Tiger), have a bond that is hard to explain...but, can never be broken. My Tiger might have to sub for my casket;)

So very true, quite often I just drive up in the mountains and "relax", currently not in a convertible but trying to change that. Cheers

wow--what a crazy story. I better start going around the neighborhood and poke around the backyards. haha

Oop!

Don't get your hopes up, guys...I forgot I signed up for cremation- I'll remove the VIN tag first, however:D
