I arrived here in Sacramento yesterday and was a little on the warm side but dramatically cooler than two years ago. A "Delta" breeze came up which made for a comfortable afternoon and evening. Weather was perfect for the Welcome BBQ.

Today is delightful, even for my beach spoiled tastes. The Tigers are on the rally right now with the quiz to be held this afternoon.

Thanks for the Headlines

Buck,

Thanks for the headline report from TU 40. I hope everyone had a nice time and that everyone makes it back home safely!

Interesting possibility

The next big Tigers event is the TEAE United in mid-August.
Some of us are planning to drive our Tigers back.

Then next year TU will be hosted by CAT in Big Bear in mid June.

The following year we hope to revive the SUNI tradition with an event between Kansas City and Joplin at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville resort on the Lake of the Ozarks. Probably will do some Route 66 along the way. You may see a survey in you email soon asking about your interest in such an event.

However what might happen soonest is that Mike Michels was discussing an autocross weekend at Santa Maria perhaps as early as this fall. It would not be so much a competition but more of a test and tune which will probably also feature a skid pad. Let him know if you might be interested.

I hope this works out , my son came to the United in Santa Maria. We were able to to set up an epic course , not one that favors quick racks or makes a too tight cram it into reverse moment.
Hearing him giggle like in the funnest reality game was priceless.

Several guys like Dan W. have been interested in a mini United like this as it was like the events used to be in the good ol days, at least that's what they told me. We have airport access for the remainder of the year with our TSA badges. Yes we do need those stinking badges :) and it's be a shame to not use them again.
