Hardtop 1/4 -Vent Window Chrome Button Rubber

Could someone look at my window above and tell me if I need large or small rubbers? Thanks, Cliff

As stated a few posts ago Bob had ordered new base materials and was re working his process.
Hopefully he will have enough materials to do everyone's orders otherwise it will be on the first come first served basis.

Hoefully there will be enough for all orders to be done.

Lots of people lobbed in quite late and he had already made his orders.

Will keep people updated as info comes to hand.
 
Cliff the later cars had the bigger almost a nickel sized outside buttons and would need the bigger rubber parts. The logic was as I read heard or somehow got was the Perspex windows could crack and the larger surface area of the bigger button was the fix.
 
I got someone to tocuh base with bob. His buttons are done but is still having issues with the new rubber supllier, he is not happy with the gromets stability.

Also i did a call out a couple of posts back for people to send their postal details and order confirmation to arrange the shipping.... Crickets....

OK my order was for 2 small buttons (or 2 large if available) and 2 matching rubbers.
My shipping is local Aus 4127 I can also pay direct bank transfer if it suits.
I did put in my request on Feb the 11th. You provided your list of applicants on March the 16th. I was not included. I do not know why.

Michael, could you put me on the list for 2 of the large buttons with rubber? If it's still possible, let me know what you need regarding payment and shippings, thanks, Cliff

Ill have to see what Bob can do.

The intent was to ship all at once, bob only had a few pairs of rubbers and buttons left so he started to make new parts.

However the long delay has been due to suplly issues for his rubber bases. And then issues with the new suplliers compunds not curing proeprly.

Im thinking to try and get the parts he does have sent soon as he hasnt been able to give a timeline on the rubbers as the compounds are not setting to his satisfaction

As per previous posts the fairest way will be first in first served unless someone wants to give up an order

Thanks for doing this, Michael. Like Warren, I am not in a rush. I am just starting to restore my top. I have an MKI and, from Warrens comment about the larger buton on later tops, my top doesn't match my earlier car. After buying my car in 1971, I found the top in a wrecking yard which had Sunbeam parts. I have new windows for the top, can the smaller button fit on the new windows? Take care, Cliff

Cliff the button size is the head that spreads the load on the perspex...iirc the hole may be the same size.
