Hi
I am looking for 1 spring clip to mount a rear cylinder. It needs to be rust free and still springy and no cracks
Thanks

Used on Alpine series 3, 4 and VERY late series 5 Alpines too. Most of the series 5 Alpines had self adjusting rear wheel cylinder, until Rootes figured out that they were crap and reverted to the original system. At least will help you expand your search! I finally came up with a set of these, but it took quite a lot of searching.

There are a couple of alternate solutions.. you can substitute the clips used on the self adjusting (series 5 Alpine) wheel cylinder, they will work. alternatively you can remove the extension on the backplate that retains the rear wheel cylinder boot and use the series 1/2 clips and boot which are also the same as TR4-6 and Austin Healey from 56-67

Part number BP 53 at Sunbeam Specialties.
BP53 is the series 5 Alpine (self adjusting type) wheel cylinder retainer set. They will work as I noted above. the original 3 piece retainer system for the Tiger, series 3/4 (and very late series 5) Alpine are no longer available new from any source.

I know that. I just listed the SS part number if he didn't have it. I have one car with the self adjusters so I have these clips in stock as well as clips for the earlier cars.

Those are the Healey clips, also used on TR4-6 and series 1/2 Alpine. They will not work as there isn't enough room inside of the welded on housing for the wheel cylinder boot, If that is seal retainer is ground off the backplate, then these will work along with the wheel cylinder boot for a Big Healey.

without modifications to the back plates, the series 5 clips are about the only option available.
