Davod, you will need the 1/4 window base, and also the little top hat brackets and the deeper crank posts for the window winder and door handle

I try to pick up parts as I find them kind of like a treasure hut.Still looking for the 1/4 window base. Some things I'll just make.Anyways if you want to part with that door cap I'll take it.

Dave, I have several sets of the clips that have to be welded to the door to mount the GT type door panel

Those are another part that should be scanned and milled out of stainless..

Stainless would prevent the pitting which is normal for originals but a plating shop can eliminate the pits and plate them with chrome. These are replated.

Original are just pot metal.. that's why they pit. Yes, the pits can be filled and the parts replated, but will fail again in different places... the new castings I have are bronze so they will not pit

Guy's I know that the cars had cheap pot metal parts. The trouble for owners is you need a near perfect example to have re chromed.
Steve A. has had some of the casting's at several of the last swap meets. I am too close to the beach and I sometimes don't get around to wiping down after a hang out...

Wow! The bases on the blue car were repaired and replated 28 years ago ( 1994) while Doug @ Tiger Auto was restoring this car. LiBrandi's must cast a spell on the horrible pits to prevent them from coming back. The green car bases went thru R&R 12 years ago when Doug was doing the restoration of it's body.. Still looking good. If any pits ever pop up I'll just grab another set or two off the shelf and have them restored. Pretty simple fix using original Rootes parts.
