Just because I wanted to completely monopolize the forum today.... Looking for the heater fan switch that mounts to the slide control on Mk1 Tigers and series 4 Alpines. It is not similar enough to the MGA/Healey switch that I can substitute and make it work. It IS really similar to the switch used in the Aston Martin DB5.... But obviously, that switch is priced on the ridiculous side. Anybody have an original, working, switch that they would sell???

picture might help-I think I got one- its smaller then the normal switch

here it is... obviously this one is toast... it's attached to the slider with a couple of fine thread screws. I have to think that the series 1-3 Alpines probably used the same switch.

They were also used on early Alpines with the single speed heater fan. I currently have one listed on E Bay. Check it out. How much are you willing to pay for an NOS control / switch for the single speed fan?

bought the one on ebay. thanks!

Just make sure its an alpine/ tiger one...rootes used a similar lever and swicth in rapiers and minx that had a slightly shorter lever arm
It may have been in an Alpine that took a heavy hit on the right front in the days prior to insurance companies like Hagerty coming into use and the owner's insurance didn't want to repair the car. Maybe the next owner parted out the car.
