Where have you guys bought seat belts w/shoulder straps for the Tiger? Mine has a pair of big klungy racing seat belts. I have seen Tiger photos with friendlier seat belts with shoulder straps and I/she would feel safer with some of those. My car has the tapped hole on the rear wheel well (under the upolstery) for the shoulder strap so they must have been available during the 1A period.

BEAMS belts loko period.. chrome aircraft buckle style.. range of colours.. JC Whitney stock them andi thin kyou can buy direct.. have them in my cars.

Thanks...I went to the JCW site and they don't list the universal for Sunbeam. They must have different ones because if I choose a different car then the part number changes. Do you have record of which ones you bought? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got mine from Sunbeam Specialties. They only had them in black. My original lap belts were blue and Victoria British has them in different colors, including blue. They are also cheaper but shipping is a bit more expensive as I recall. Plus I have always liked the quality of what Rick sells. FWIW, the catalog pics of each look pretty much the same.

If you have the carpet off where the back wheel well mount is please post a pic. I have had Beams belts in several of my cars that came without seat belts. Found that they hold up well and do not fade as some of the other colored ones do.

Be prepared to have the good heavy metal buckles flop about the car and ding up your panels sill plates etc. Hard call period correct chrome or plastic covered that won't bang everything up. If I had it to do over I'd pick something that would not bang everything up so much rather than the chrome metal ones.

Thanks for the advice. My car is more a driver than a show car but it's a good reminder to be concious of the buckles banging around. I hadn't planned to remove the carpet over the wheel well. I thought I would just poke a hole through the anchor nut from inside the wheel well and then trim the carpet around it on the inside of the car.
