1965 NC EBAY

I think this was already posted here--I remember the wrong gauges, new vin tag and odd switch name plates........

yes, the car has been doign the ebay rounds.. maybe we should post the VIN in the subject title so it can be easily searched for prior postings?

The backs of the seats look like early (or maybe late, can't remember) Series III seats. As you can see, they are the three piece design. I don't believe correct for this car.

Paul,

The early MKI Tigers and even the cross body ones with GT interiors had the split rear seat cushions as per the SIV Alpines.

When the cars went to SV Alpine and MKIA tiger they gained the sinlge peice backrest. The S3 had the split rear as you mentioned.. and ealy S3 had the split base cushion.

That is the record skipping.

Most of us with smart phones have a eBay app which pings us every time a new listing come up.

In any event the pics stay active on eBay server for 90 days in completed auctions.

The Autotox archives as well as other sites have search features, that if you are so inclined can be searched for a vin an owners name or other ID on a car.

This car is like 1000's of others improperly restored hobby cars, using the term personalized just does not seem right.

We had a discussion of posting and the boss said we have plenty of space, and to start a new thread for each car. Norm we can only suggest to by vin number if stated in auction. It does not matter to me but this one is best left swept under the rug.

A familiar quote I have heard is "nice car I hope the original bits come with it," loosely "" that is.
