1967 Tiger on Ebay B382001541LRXFE

This thread makes me glad my car isn't even close to original, or even a "real" Tiger. When the time comes, I want it to be judged based upon the appearance, build quality and performance, not "originality", whatever that means. When I (or more likely, my widow) sell it, it will be represented honestly. Nit-pickers need not apply.

If I had the means, I'd consider this car, even though it's painted orange. I'd add bumpers and take off the windshield decal. Then I'd drive the crap out of it and never look back.

Regards,
John.

Original, except for the cigar lighter

John, You make a good point! In fact, over at another Sunbeam site ,after one first logs on they separate the original (whatever that means) from the Modified (you know) questions right up front and send you to the area about which you enjoy! Might hold merit for this site.

Please don't do that. I'd rather have it all together. Otherwise, you have to sift through two subforums. The way many of these threads drift off-topic, it'd be hard to classify/separate them anyway.

I need to quit reading the "196x xxxxx on Ebay" threads. That'd solve most of it for me.

Regards,
John.

Did anyone else look at the Tiger with a $65k buy it now on Ebay from San Diego. It's listed as B382001541 and the inner fenders cowl brace mounts, suspiciously look like an Alpine.

Just an update to that car ... I have a few pics of it up in my neck of the woods at the Van Dusen show in Vancouver last May so I guess it now resides either in Canada or just south in Washington...
...those 'mounts' look OK to me...

Great looking car, and I too love the headlight rings, hmmm, someone should reproduce those...... :)

rims

they were reproduced several years ago but they were fiberglass.

I like the headlight rings, too. I'm new here so I may be missing something (or reading too much into it!) but, Cobrakidz, did you reproduce these and, if so, do you have extras?
