Looks like I was wrong about the weird threads in the head, they're a standard 7/16-14 thread. Summit link here.
My December 64 Tiger has 4G6 and 4G10 heads assembled 4G21.
Sorry Warren, looks like we've hijacked your "For Sale" thread! šŸ˜
So unless using the 289hp style rocker stud no milling is required as long as there the same length as the press in studs'
hijacking warrens thread keeps his ad at the top,

Thanks for the head info everyone when I saw my heads had the same date as Warrens I got curios still am

Ken and others, what is important is the content and the information shared.

My heads have 4G13 and 4E15 on them does that mean they may not be original to my series 1 9471379 ?

Who knows maybe they grabbed them off 2 different pallets I would have thought the
dates would be closer like a few days apart but who knows for sure. My head has the same date as Warren's
and my mk1 was built in April 65 where his came off a late Mk1a, have to see what my other head date is but
will be a bit its buried somewhere in garage.

My engine build date was July 21 1964 so at least the heads were cast before the engine was built The heads were cast July 13 th 1964 and May 15 th 1964 As you mentioned the heads were probably grabbed off two pallets. Who knows 😊

Gone to Florida....
Thinking maybe a nip and tuck on the thread and a move into Stock Engine. Thanks all for the good content.
