I received my 50th anniversary poster that was taken in Monterey--it is awesome. The picture is great, the quality is next to none and the price is fantastic. Here is a sneak peak of a very nice Med Blue Tiger. :)

How?

If you missed it there is an Admin announcement at the top of the GD page. http://catmbr.org/VB_forum/announcement.php?f=2

Thanks to all the Members of CAT that volunteered their time and skills! In particular Dan Mc. and Michael K. for photography and Poster layout. Priceless!

That 'Announcement' banner is pretty stealthy, here are the 2 posters that are available.

I'm not sure how much longer the printer is going to hold the $9.99 price but for now he is ok with it.

The LM Coupes all had engine problems this summer.

Two LM Tigers were in Europe for the LM Classic. One was in CA with a broken engine. Darrell tried to get it to Monterey but couldn't.

The HSC Tiger was damaged and removed from the track before the picture was taken.

What happened to the fraser monster? I thought it was running at the goodwood revival again, but it didn't, surprised it didn't make it to Monterey if it was in the states

Got my poster back from being mounted on foam board today--looks good in my car room.

It is a pity the frase rmonster and LM tigers are not there... i know the HSC55 car had a hit that morning.. Dave Stone probably wasnt in the best of moods.. but the car could have been on the RHS and it would have hidden the damage .. sad its not in the shot.. such a wonderful car and would have been great if the HSC55, SCF74, Art Frimes and prototype had been up front. ad the LM and monster in there..... would have been even more magic

I tried to order however the site only accepts USA addresses and card details.
There are other Tiger owners on the planet. Had no trouble ordering the Tiger 50 Book from England.

Hi Steven, the place that is doing the printing doesn't ship/mail out of the US.

If you want one send me a PM, you can have them mail it to me and I'll mail it on to you.

Steven,

The poster is not being made by the club.. the club is not making profit... They simply made the photo available to members as a poster via that printing companies website, it's not like they have made it delibertaly USA only. I see Bob has kindly offered to assit you.

Also the poster was available quickly to members.. and did not have long delays and made by the club... not really a fair comparison to the UK book.

I do not accept your comparison. the red book was easy I am not critical of the Cal club only the onerous purchase practices of US sellers

There have been comments about this in the past but although I looked I didn't bother to respond but I've found there are companies that will provide a US mailing address (theirs) for you to ship to and then will ship to you almost anywhere in the world. I know nothing about the company linked below (NA)(UAYOR)(YMMV) and is only an example. They charge a fee of $1+postage. They are also tied to a company that will provide you with US credit card usage with a, what seems to me to be reasonable, one time setup fee of $15 + fee probably based on item purchase $$$$ amount (I didn't look into it that closely). Maybe too costly for just a poster but might be good for a lot of purchases or that got-to-have item. They also can combine items to help reduce shipping charges.

I remember the odd words of wisdom from a college instructor, "If you can think of something worth doing (inventing, developing, etc.) it's probably already been done". A person can find anything they need (it's already there) on the Internet.

With Customs regulations and fees some countries practice I'm sure a lot of small business shy away from shipping outside the US altogether. Didn't the Queen have some kind of tie between UK and Aus. at some time? Probably still in use today and helps make mailing between those countries easier.
