In May 2025 I plan to drive my 65 South African Tiger out from the UK to Sicily (Italy) to take part on the 109th Targa Florio, to commemorate 60 years since the British Vita Racing Tiger finished second in class to the winning Ferrari, when the Targa was a round of the World Sportscar Championship. Since the 1970's the Targa has been held as rally.

Dave McDermott who now owns the 65 Targa Tiger has given his blessing to our effort.

Details can be found via our Facebook page Sunbeam Tiger Targa 60.

2025 Targa Florio rally done and dusted. The rally was held over 2 days on much of the original road circuit.

Our South African built Tiger finished 20th overall and we were first in our class and first over 2 litres. A pleasing result to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the British Vita Racing Tiger on the 1965 Targa Florio, where the car finished second in class to the winning Ferrari.

The car is still in Italy and I'll fly out again in two weeks to take part on the Vernasca Silver Flag Hillclimb near Piacienza Northern Italy.
