'65 EBAY Project in OK

I like it how every time one of these comes up on ebay.. there is always another Sunbeam body lurking in the background...

there aren't any dealers to order panels from so when a fender is messed up like the one on this car you have to have a source. I have an alpine body that was built in December of 64 that is setting in Dayton. if anyone needs frame rails or panels give doug Jennings a call. some rust in lower fenders.

I like the Oldsmobile Rallye Wheel on the rear- that's a 5 lug wheel!

looking at the angle of the hood hinge panel and the bulge in the fenders would make you wonder about the frame rails. how bad are they bent and could they be pulled?

Just about anything can be pulled back in line. The issue is at what cost? Where is your 70K to 100K better spent, on this wreck, or a good car that is already done. Unless you have the work space, the tools, and the requisite skills, restorations are expensive. Just a good quality paint job is easily over 10K, and if your paying for welding, budget $85 to $100 per hour.

Don't get me wrong. I hope the someone sets this car right, but that person needs to be brave, and in need of a boat load of British Car anguish.

Did anyone else notice the reddish colored Beam with the roll bar, in the background? Looks like it could use a champion too!

Quite a challenge, she be! Hopefully, someone with patience & talent is out there with a mind to rescue the wounded. If the drive line could be tracked down, it would be a better valued attempt . . . . .
