How's that country song go "Living on Tulsa time" Well that's the area code of this seller. Guys copy the pictures and comment on what's changed from original looks like hose clamps and little else..

Good pictures you can even see the bakelight shift knob discoloration.

60 seems very reasonable.

I think I recall the car for sale originally when found as that photo in the garage without whitewalls looks familiar.

Be nice to know the vin, im wondering if the seats are retrimed, better pictures would help as its hard to tell what grain they are, and if the car is early enough that it should have contrasting red piping.

Also would be good to see photos of the underside.

Nice original Rootes luggage rack. The only other one I have seen is in my garage, and that came off of a car I purchased from the original owner, who also bought in England and had the car shipped back.

And as a side note, anyone needing new rubber feet on this type of rack, I have cast new ones in white, And also in red. Could do other colors to match paint.

paul,
there were three luggage racks available thru sunbeam at the time. the custom rack was part # N.Y. 4039 which had the bracket that came down over the back of the trunk and also had the ski rack available for use with it. there also was what was listed in the accessories brochure as " all models- all makes. this was part # N.Y.4027. there was another that bolted to the trunk and required holes drilled thru the trunk skin. I'm sure you've noticed the holes stamped in the frame of the trunk on the underneath side. the trunk mount was part # 2214710. the alpine club in the U.K. has reproduced these but won't sell them to anyone in the states. this is what is on the trunk of my green car. doug fussed because the wife wanted the trunk drilled for it . I think wally swift used to have one like yours on one of his cars. we carry a lot of items such as a 10 X 10 EZ UP and chairs on ours.
