Thought it interesting

That they would pick a Tiger, and then one that is hardly a survivor candidate.
I think we could all agree on the pictured car at least needs some matching tires and a buff....

I have seen the pictured MK2 in person and also their article on the definitive Tiger, not the exact title. My thoughts were that they should have gone to a Tigers United and seen all the little things that they were off on.

My photo was taken at a TE/AE United in Norcross, Ga. This car was well received at the United.

Details

Bob, maybe they changed stuff when it was on West Coast.
It sure would get beaten by Dave W's. car or most of the others here in a head to head judging. With unlimited $ of a Company and as they state in one of their other articles "the definitive Tiger" ____ sorry for the fill in the blank I don't remember the exact title. I would expect better. Don't get me wrong I'm happy they picked a Tiger to restore for there employee project. Using it's pic in before condition is certainly strange or such a basket case roller as a candidate or poster child for a survivor.
Thanks for the discussion.

It could be that some owners may not be as critical as some owners might be. I seem to remember some prominent west coast owners have made similar comments from time to time when they show up on the east coast. I know all too well what it takes to restore a basket case roller. It's tough and time consuming.

Yep, just another tiger

When I saw that magnificient car in Norcross, I could not believe it was done by anyone other than a long term Tiger restorer. Kuddos for a true labor of love.
