what is the dimension from the surface that mates with the filter to the highest point on the top surface? I'm not sure I even have 1/8" extra clearance under there
 
Here are a few photos I took today with an unfinished alloy top and a steel repro top. They are the same size length and width. The one photo I tried to show them side by side to show the difference in how high each one is.
Note to self-don't leave your new repro air cleaner in the box for over two years without priming it!
