Are you freaking kidding me

Maybe you should pop over to Home Depot buy some material and make some up as there have been 14 bids already. :)

There are 3 very silly bidders, or 2 very naughty shill bidders.

It's not like its the OEM removable screens either, just some home made yuk.... Heck I've got some cut out if mice black mesh with proper edging and little brackets I'd sell for that !!

Bidders Trump Horse Sense

The seller is known to us and I doubt it's a shill scam. Some guys are either too lazy or don't know how to bend screen around a simple wood block mold.

180.18 no bag for a 10 dollar part go figure

kidding

I think it's time to start selling some of my new ones since I have a bunch of them.

The bag is unlikely relevant to that part... And I suspect the seller wants to imply it came in "that" bag.... The bag by the fonts is an early rooted parts bag, perhaps even late 50's, by the time the pentstar came out rooted had switched to the clear bafs with the corporate Chrysler blue and pentstar on the package... Clever advertising by eBay seller to drum enthusiasm and catch the eye.. Not he lists the part as used and nos .... I have a nos one in the "Chrysler routes" package looks fresher than that.. Maybe it sat on a shelf and is shelf worn?... It didn't originally come in that bag....

Information

We will never protect guys from PT Barnum like sellers but we can do our best to get the info out.

Personally, I am looking for one as my old MK1a was missing it's Pentastar as is the new P.O.S Piece of Sunbeam:rolleyes:

pentastar

I believe the Chrysler pentastar was an anodized metal piece as apposed to later use of the plastic version.
Just what I have seen.

I was thinking the same thing - buy one for a late 60's Chrysler as they all had them. Seller made out good.

What is the general consensus about eBay sellers who photograph these often used Tiger parts on old Rootes packaging?
I see it all the time and always think it is a bit deceptive. At least this seller said the bag was not included.

A touch more than a tad bit deceptive  Some guys do use em a bunch and they are now new forum members or have been members here for some time. Most add fine print and or say display only. Paul S. has a big paper with Rootes printed like a tablecloth clearly a display.

This item the Pentastar leaves out if this seller opened the bag for the first time and pulled out this part. It seem highly unlikely that Chrysler would have had their gingerbread part added into a bag with a Rootes p/n .

Classic Industries is blocks away from the Surf City Garage one of our last meetings and reasonably close to Dounut Derelicts maybe I'll go there:)

I practice deceptive marketing as well, http://www.ebay.com/itm/141748821113?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2648

I must go back and say girl not included, nor pink paint or pink cars, and do some penance for lifting the picture from Facebook, funny though page views on the recurring listing are 3X :D
