Wandered over to Qualcom just to see the beginnings. Nothing free, everything has a large Cali price tag with it, and attitude thrown in for good measure. I thot this wuz a relaxed hobby ??

Mixed Bag

I agree on the prices as well as the Cali. prices. When I was there last year Friday and Saturday the place was filled with guy guys madly pricing their items by searching them on smart phones on the inter webs..

That is the way Fridays are hi prices, Sunday sees the markdown of items. I did see some great car values and a slightly smaller version of my first car, or van Cali. surfer or party vans, mine was root beer brown with baby moon hubcaps and wide tires. A Sunbeam would have never been considered as it had no back seat or playground.

There were some good values but the location is huge no bikes skateboards I even saw then bouncing older gents on their battery powered chair scoots.
I wish I had a nickel for every wagon that clapped my ankles. Unless you can do a 10K X 2 just look at the car corral.

The only French I can stand is the Facel Vega, and just a little bit on that.

If I was there I'd buy you a drink 0neoffive...

Return to Parts Mecca

Went back to Qualcom w/eldest grandson for another look see. Lots-O-Sanford & Sons roll out of the hills with cleaned junk for sale. It is a huge event, for sure. Found a correct 3-bolt damper pulley, but the moment I picked it up the seller tore off the $5 price tag and informed me it was mis-labled and special for Sunbeam Tigers only. I could have it for $85 if I wanted it. So I told him it was for my Falcon and it should be priced $5 for a Falcon guy. No deal for some reason . . . . . .
