I am not selling these items but they are available from England from www.thesunbeamsparescompany.co.uk under the body parts section of their catalog. Of note is a replacement for the radiator shroud. Quality looks good and users reported good fits. I did buy a pair of wiper blades having experienced more rain in a month in the UK than in the previous 20 years in CA.

Helpful People They Are

Good quality. We've used them when we get too far behind on our own stuff. The downside is the money exchange rate, shipping and duty tariff. They DO NOT keep stock ahead, so delays can pose an issue. I still would recommend them.

Your pile?

How much was the fan shroud? inclusive of all charges to your door. Great pile of parts. I do not envy you having the project to build them into but.

Loose Patton quote "at least you were not shoveling poo in Louisiana,"

Good to have a labor of love and something you enjoy doing!:)

What wiper switch? I forgot where mine is:)

another + (shroud) and a - (dash pad)

Spares Seem good folks....

I bought a dash pad (2 actually) and fan shroud when it appeared unlikely Rick may see them for months.

I've not even looked at the shroud. Will take picture later if I remember.

Warren, prices are in the catalogue... we know you like to click... go ahead

oh ok, this is easier...

On the dash pads. Was informed they were all made by same vendor. Appears to be possible. I didn't know any better. First, the dash comes un-finished. I.e. no vent holes cut out, no trimming completed, no screw holes (I expected that). Was very concerned how crappy a job I'd make it. So I delayed dealing with it. However, after a couple months, I noted one side of the vinyl to be coming away from the under foam. This was an excuse to check back on supply at S/S.

The S/S pad is die cut already for the vent and the windscreen frame posts. Also is awl punched for the larger vent screws, but not lower small screws. (I'm MKIA, so basing on that.)

I'll share much, much more detail on how to overthink dash pad and installation at a later date...

At any rate, if possible, I'd go with Rick's pad. He didn't have shrouds, so I bought from here. But may not use it either (shrug)

The gentlemen at Spares were also open to combining shipment with the heater blower guys, as they are nearby.

Findings... quality seller, but find others who need stuff and combine everything in one shipment. The box and boat aren't cheap, even if the bits are reasonable.

Okay smart pants

I mean SMARTY PANTS, I can read, what does the box and the boat and Her Majesty's and US taxation grubby big hands cost.

I can also use a 1.6 currency converter but wouldn't know a quid from a squid, isn't a squid a former Navy guy?:)

Go try to understand VAT then let me know if you can read their English

Quid pro quo?

Let's say I ordered three things of similar value and the total bill was near $800 usd.

Note that dash pads are bulky. Stupid to ship bigger stuff. Unless we all got a container going.

So (222 x 2) + 250 + X (shipping and VAT) = 800

But that X covered three items... YMMV.

I'd rather buy lighter weight stuff off eBay locally, like various air cleaner housings, just for example...

:p

Jury panel questions: Can you assess the evidence as presented and form an impartial finding? Answer: No, being steeped in the narcissism leaking out of the strutting roosters (lawyers) makes me very ill. You're excused . . . . .Another thing that works is telling yer Honor quite openly that if I feel some evidence has been exempted for any reason, I won't make any decision at all. They call me every year; haven't contributed once.

Malcom owner of Sunbeam Spares

In this small yet slightly Sunbeam infested world it has become, you can meet up with guys like Malcom almost by complete chance when they just bought an item off eBay that I listed with my pal Leepear, Imagine that:rolleyes:

Shroud repro

I finally got around to opening the box from Sunbeam Spares UK to take a peek at the shroud. To me, it looks quite well done. Sure, I could be in for some paint prep time and maybe some finer sanding in weld areas, if that mattered. But looks pretty good, without some folds I've seen on others.

?

I might just use it... ;-)

Anything to procrastinate from figuring out how to deal with the ends of the dash pad which are 3/8" or more too long on each side... Will share that fun later.

Don't do too fine of a job of prepping the shroud - everyone will be able to tell it wasn't done by Sunbeam. We all know how crappy their welding and painting was done originally!:D

While I never knew the original owners of Sunbeam Spares I do know Andy, Malcom and Graham and hold them all in the highest regards.

They've treated me exceptionally well.
