bolts that hold the front suspension in place

I seem to have lost one of the bolts that hold the front suspension to the frame..
So looking to replace all 4 with new washers.. Does anyone manufacture new ones? I understand these are not your average thread. but are one of a kind british custon thing..

I just got done repairing/reinforcing the front frame bosses on the Alpine, and cleaned up the threads on the bosses and bolts in the process. They were 1/2-20.

I haven't put it back yet if you need bolt dimensions.

Edit: Looked it up in the Alpine parts manual:

Bolt, 1/2" UNF (which is 1/2-20) x 3-1/4"
Washer, 1/2" shakeproof
Washer, 1/2" plain

I finally started subscribing to the mantra " Thou must never throw any unique Rootes parts away" so after stripping a few parts cars, I see that I have a few of those bolts.
The only unique thing about them is that they have increased thread length! Other than that, they're just 1/2"-20 ...
I have several here and would part with whatever you need to help you out for the cost of shipping from Canada ... guessing around $10

Let me know if that works for you...

Bolt Size

FYI: The four X-member bolts are Grade 8 UNF 1/2" X 20 tpi X 3-1/4" or 3-1/2". They do have extra threading depth so that the shoulder does not bottom out and leave the cross member loose. You can purchase any grade 8 1/2" fine thread bolt over the counter in 3-1/2" , BUT, you must add 3/8" plus of thread depth by running a die into the shoulder.

I would like to add to this ....... ANY Aircraft bolt supplier has the proper
bolts . Called "Full Clamping Capacity Bolts" . Made in Grade 8 , or better . BUT .... the threads go clear to under the head , NO SHOULDER .;)

FYI: The shoulder length is somewhat critical in stabilizing the bolt in the frame's tubes. Whereas the threading will eventually abrade the holes during use and road vibration. Similar spots in the suspension are the specific shoulder lengths where and how the A-arm fulcrums are mounted. 2-1/2 cents worth

I've never heard of a stock cross member bolt failing but there's always a first time!
It appears that the original bolt which has an 's' stamped on it was only about grade '5' ... I know there is a lot of stress on the front pair ( under severe braking ) seeing how many cars ( including mine ) have needed the front tube gusset to beef up that area. Personally, I've always been in the 'strong is good, stronger is better' camp
