Finally figured out how to gas up and keep it in the tank and not down the side of the car. So I've been out putting around and had forgotten how bad the brakes squeal at every stop. Any suggestions on how to tone them down a bit?
TIA, Justin

That was front disks.

Get some double sided carpet tape and apply it to the brake pads on the piston side. Make sure the pistons are clean. You are then adhering the pads to the pistons and walla!.....no more squeal.

Have you tried coating the backs of the pads with brake caliper grease/anti-squeal compound?

I haven't a clue when it comes to disks so I'll give suggestions a try. Anything that even just knocks it down a level will be a relief.

Thanks, Justin

Are you getting a lot of dust from the pads? You might have a soft pad and therefore creating dust and it may be part of the squeak problem.

Semi metallic pads? A little metal on metal sometimes creates noise.

Minimal dust from pads. Good pad thickness but unknown as to whether metallic or otherwise. Will check out caliper grease and tape suggestions today. Thanks
