FWIW, there is some info on original bulb numbers in the old CAT Shop Notes General Data Section II. The Electrical Parts section starts on page II14. For example on page II15 under License Plate Light all the related parts are listed with the bulb shown as a 910. So a little digging by application is necessary but at least the info seems to be there. And hopefully correct.
