Tempting BIN

Man, that looks like a GREAT restoration project for someone... I didn't find anything nearly that complete when I was shopping for a project. Even the rust doesn't look too scary for that part of the country. They must'a kept it inside when the nasty salt monster was roaming.
On a selfish note - I hope it sells - that should make my beater Tiger (soon to be listed for sale when I decide what to ask) worth at least that much!

There's no need to salt yer food in that area; it's in the damp air naturally. The car will make a great rusty driver for someone. OR, a body man can start chasing the hidden rust until a reasonable surface is built to support paint & structural integrity. No doubt that it's a real deal. It would be nice if it were bought by a skilled professional with time to return it to original condition. My experienced calculator knows better than to let me go down that road . . .

DC That Tiger in your hood for under 10 did not sell on Ebay 2x and that seemed on par with this beast.

Even my "nice collection of parts," was a better deal than many I have seen at 2.5 times the price.

Bob, maybe you could engage us with some before and after pics on your cars in the "Your Tigers Story," thread.
 
Did anyone notice what loks likea kink outwards above the center of the wheel arch.. i was wondering given the lack of lettering holes on the front if its had a decent hit and beed quicky repaired.

An body guy worth his salt can see many metal stress/warps & cover ups on the little critter. She has a history; not uncommon, in fact, just the usual hurdles of restoration. Back to my original comment; with the forgiveness of the safety inspectors, it can be made into a rolling driver with some effort.
 
Worth the money

If you don't have $30.000 then $20.000 is a good deal for this Tiger.(You could never get to this point with less then $20.000) It is Worth the Money!
 
Champagne taste

On a beer budget. I was only saying there have been better and more complete comparables.

When I have a chance I will copy the pics over as comps over time are nice to have for all those hunting or moving on. These are hardly entry level critters.

Yep... my rust free example was $18500 in 2005 ... wonder what a BON sold for then...:rolleyes: How times change...

Speaking of ... I asked Norm for advice on my potential candidates way back then and I'll quote what he said...

"No matter what you spend for rust in the Tiger world, it's too much."
