Anyone have sources for carpet w/ color choices for the Tiger? Rick at SS is only making Black available. Says he can't place a special order for color unless it is a huge order.

Same thing for the soft top. Looking for an alternative to the standard Black. Any ideas?

There is a company in the UK that may have what you need. It is called Alpine West Midlands Ltd. and lists carpets and hoods for Tigers in their catalog. Their website is

Their catalog and separate price list are PDF files that can be down loaded as zip files.

I see on page 9 they list carpets and hoods as available in colours. They list several types of material for the hoods, including mohair.

I have had absolutely no experience with this company! I only know that they exist. If you decide to order anything from them, please share your experience with the rest of us.

I sourced blue carpet and blue softop as well as blue vinyl form ebay sources. I think the carpet and softop came from England ebay, not sure on that.
 
You could always have an upholstery shop do the carpet in just about any color you can imagine--unless you prefer to install yourself. I did, what a pain to make it look right, I am used to the Mustang kits that come in 2 pieces and drop in in about 20 minutes. :)
 
Carpet

I got a complete carpet kit last year from the place in Australia that advertizes them on eBay. Would have to look up the name when I get home tomorrow. I was very happy with the fit and quality, and they made it in the green color that I wanted to harmonize with my tan seats.

Looks like a very nice kit. If I were to want the most original type of appearance, who would I use?

Frankly, I may try to use a number of the original pieces even though they're faded and/or moldy.
 
Robbins or Distinctive industries in LA

Is the Mfg. for these rugs but they only sell to retailers. Any auto trim shop can get the same stuff. I suppose you could always order a black set then have your own color made to match. I think Bendango with his white Tiger with the red interior and rugs looks great. Of course that's cause I painted my 64 Bug conv. white 3 times and also went thru 3 red interiors too so I'm partial to that color combo.

Derek--I have used a couple kits from Rick and was always happy with the quality. If your car was a survivor I would say use the old carpet, but since you are doing a restoration I would go new for the restored look.
 
Rick @ Sunbeam Specialties actually lists pinpoint vinyl and crush grain vinyl... both styles are $297.00
He is a Robbins dealer and also has the cloth top available ( not listed ) I paid $630 for mine but that was at least 3 years ago...
