CAT Meeting July 21 at Cars and Coffee

We are going to meet at Cars and Coffee in Irvine starting at around 6:30am. There will be a place for tigers roped off and we will hold spots as long as possible.
When Cars and Coffee starts to break up (about 8:15 or so, it's over pretty quick) we can go to Strawberry Farms Golf Course to have breakfast and the meeting.

the map stops at the midpoint of the golf course so just stay on Strawberry Farms Road and it dead ends into the parking lot of the restaurant.

They don't take reservations but they say we should be able to push some tables together in the corner and have a meeting.

After breakfast we can do a local scenic drive that Rick is figuring out.

CAT Meeting July 21

For those who have not been there, Cars and Coffee is located at 7908 Gateway Boulevard, Irvine. Let's fill up the area with Sunbeams!

Here are some photos of our meeting. The first four photos were taken at the Cars and Coffee event, the next four are of our cars in the golf club parking lot, and the last two photos were taken of the group while we were ordering breakfast at the club. After the meeting, Rick Mueller led many of us on a great cruise along Trabuco Canyon Road. With native oak trees on either side of the twisty road and the dappled sunlight breaking through, with gently twisting curves, and with a number of small hills, we had a very enjoyable ride in our torquey Tigers. What a beautiful Southern California day!

Anyone get a pic of the D type Jag at this event? If you ever are in the area the Orange county crowd has some super nice cars.
 
Not the D Jag

But I got some shots of the Rat Van. This unholy marriage of a Chevy Van and drive train from a blown ski boat. I owned the (very 60") short wheel base version of this window van back in the 70's. Great for hauling bikes to the desert. This longer window van is/was the same flat metallic green once. But loses all utility with that engine, V-drive and chopped top. Still a work in progress without windows or much of a top.

And we had some fun with the Members and their Tigers plus a Cobra and Pantera.
