Forgive me for my ignorance on Tigers, but I have been looking at interiors and have only found all vinyl seats and door panels. I'm guessing these grey cloth seat inserts and door panels are not correct? The upholstry cleaned up decent and I only need the driver's door panel but if this isn't factory then I guess to get matching door panels I'll just buy a pair from Sunbeam Specialities. Thanks in advance for any input.

All the factory interiors were vynil. They had different graining depending on year, longhron, pebble, smooth.. but always vynil.

If you like it the way it is you can always have some made to match.. owners often use leather now as well. Dpends what you want.

The repros from Sunbeam Specialties and Classic Sunbeam are good repros.

cloth interior

we bought an alpine in the bay area of california and it had seats with cloth inserts. we also built a fastback with cloth on the seating area of the seats with vinyl on the back and around the sides. the cloth is much better for use in hot weather even if it isn't correct..

Awesome, thanks for the quick replys and clarification. If I might ask a couple follow up questions, is there a way to tell what color interior a Tiger came with and whether a mk1 had longhorn or pebble textured vinyl? I believe the original exterior was Carnival Red.

Mark,

There are change overs on chassis numbers when the vynil changes pattern, what number is your car? If the car was originally red it would have had the black interior.. depending how early the car is it might have had contratsing red pipe.

Having a convertible in California with cloth seats is perfect even though not correct. I hate the smell of burnt flesh in the summer...haha

I do like the temp. advantage of the cloth. I'm going to leave the seats alone at least for a while; they should look just fine with new vinyl door panels.
