I recently purchased remanufactured convertible top clamps because Idid not want to bother removing the hinge pin rivets which hold them together to get them rechromed. However, the remanufactured clamps were horrible quality so I sent them back.
I have now taken the clamps apart.
Now I need to get the parts rechromed. No problem.
My problem is what kind of rivet and rivet install tool is required to reassemble them.
The pins are steel I think, at least they are magnetic. One is straight and is 1/8" x 1.25. That one is easy because it is just pressed in. The other pin is 1/8" x1-5/8" is mushroomed at both ends.
Can any of you guide me to what tool and rivet they used to assemble these clamps.
Thanks
