Correct Tiger battery

Which is the correct battery for a Tiger 1A? A concours article From TEAE says Group 27 is the correct size, but many sources online state group 24.
I know the negative terminal is toward the front of the car and toward the right fender.

Match the size of the battery tray. There's a Lucas plastic fake O cover that looks the part. I think it'll fit anything smaller.
My MK2 has AC Delco battery venting caps.

Group 24 is 1" shorter and 3/4" taller than the 27. Not sure if the height would interfere with the false floor?

Lucas Group 27. See BON (p. 157). WSM also lists make as Lucas.

Battery Central Mall sells reproduction maintenance free Lucas G 27 batteries. Very pricey and they are on back order when I checked a few minutes ago.
