PP car

I have seen this car as it was being finished. It is Outstanding and correct!

Sweet BUT

Such an excellent effort, but for the front wing ribbon strips in the wrong spot running down hill.

Parabolic

Refraction possibly makes things look sloped? Looks like a different Med blue too but likely my screen the camera or whatever.. Craigslist is the wrong venue for a big dollar car buy sure is worth the 5 bucks it now costs. Sure this is a wide net effect this dealer is looking to cast. I have heard of this restorers work and know his record on producing some MK2 specific parts and others reviews of his work as well as being a client of mine.

Only posted this as it was a record for the notification system. Since it's so hard to say no to another project:)
it seemed a good idea to let others in on what works for me.
Not sure why it is a pay for deal on Craigslist now but possibly an easy way to stop phony cars from being listed.

Looks great... !! wonder why is was painted green at one point ??

PP car

I wonder why the gas cap was covered over before restoration in Jim’s picture...

I owned this car for a while before Sean restored it. It somehow made it to Canada from England, but not sure why. Unfortunately any Canadian history was lost when Bill passed away. I heard from someone else that he bought it from a British widow that lived near Barrie, Ontario. There was never a clear reason why the gas filler was covered over. The opening was still there underneath. I have no idea how fuel was added, but assume there must have been some sort modified tank access in the trunk, but I don't recall any custom modification work.

craigslist

There is an Alpine in Columbus, Ohio that has the gas filler inside the trunk. It had a fender replaced at some time early in it's life. The owner decided to make the mod during the body work.
