Seats....no, just NO!

_57_zpsdd773eb0.jpg

X-Frame

The front of the X- Frame is odd, as are the tubular struts from the X-Frame to the inner sills.

What is going on with the trunk floor, and where is the trap door/fuel pump?

Seems to me that pictures of the Tiger Specific features of this car have been omitted.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. I would run away from this one.

what worries me is the shape of the metalwork.. both doors have very bad fit as if the sill and door shape is incorrect, the front left sill slopes down so a very poor repair panel and the left rear wheel arch has also had some average=ge repairs.

There are the other oddities on the car... but on a base level the body has issues

as for the boot floor duke.. its been replaced with flat sheet hence no spare tyre hold down.. and underside shows odd homer made exhaust pass through notches instead of pass throughs.. and what looks like a alpine rear parcel shelf

Thanks Duke, I would like to see some other seats. Maybe owner is a big guy.
An old member has Volvo 122S seats and they look nice and rather period correct, Post a picture later. I thought it interesting JAL pic , must be pictorivetaphobia.

...
They're in my buddy's Tiger just on the road last week after an extensive 10 year rebuild into a resto mod... 347/T5 426 hp !!

More photos and details of this car please!!! :) (hope this request isn't a bit of a thread hijack)

Yep. Pro car Rally's with custom upholstered inlay...
They adapted nicely to the stock sliders too. I'm not a big fan of headrests in a Tiger but these look good

Beautiful car.......

The whole of the centre of the X frame has been replaced with box section for some reason.

I'm curious about the outriggers attaching it to the sills.

There's something odd about the rear floor too.
The whole underside has been highly modified.

Probably a Rust Bucket that needed a total backyard reconstruction and nothing fits like it should...........

Not trying to hijack so will send you a few by PM ...One of the reasons the resto was so long as it was also an Eastern car and was missing a lot of the car when it came out of the dip tank

the eBay car in this thread looks to be typical of an Eastern Canada car also...
lots of replacement sheet metal that doesn't appear to have come from a donor Alpine.. just fabbed out of flat sheet:confused:
I see the door fit is pretty bad if it's actually fully shut in this pic, and the flange on the rocker is straight and not 'bellied' like it should be.At least the seller posted that 'under' shot which will tell most buyers what they're dealing with

Jim,

Its not the door is open.. the shots of it at the car show have the same issue... car is certainly a ex-basket case.... and perhaps still is in some respects. Its taken a lot of effort probably to get it to where it is.. but might have been better to try and use some factory sourced panels

the rockers could be a pair of the replacements that Chrysler sold. they had no curve to them. they were straight. I have some if anyone is interested.
