One thing interesting is that it's a Florida car and claims to have a current State inspection sticker. I can't figure out what sticker they might be referring to since, to my knowledge, Florida doesn't require and annual inspection.
Was where I remember seeing it on eBay. The description is pretty much the same as I recall. I can't blame a seller on the use of eBay for a fixed price they get a worldwide for sale sign. It was perfectly normal to make a car what you needed back then. The car can be set straight and back to its OG configuration. Or you can put a 5 or 6 speed in. It's too bad the top loader might be sitting in someone's garage like mine as a spare that I recently picked up. There is some traction of late to re unite the numbers matching valve covers floating about. Being a V.W. guy from the start its hard to imagine not going thru engines and gearboxes like cords of wood.
Calif. used to have inspections but now it's only smog. Seems pretty crazy as you can drive around with 4 bald tires a salvage title with who knows what stuffed where the air bag was, but it may pass the smog check.
I can't find the pic I had of a prototype Auto Trans car.
