An EBay vendor named Elite Bumpers is selling stainless steel bumpers for the Tiger and Alpine. Has anyone purchased or seen these in person and can vouch
for their quality? Thanks, Don S.

There was another group in Vietnam that broke away from the "Harrington group" who were making the stainless bumpers...could be them.

As a side note.. the stainless bumpers are really for "show" they are much lighter that the originals and don't offer the prospection of the steel original.

If you check eBay USA there are currently 17 listings for "New stainless" bumpers for Sunbeam (2 being from Elite Bumpers) and all coming from Vietnam and likely from the same seller (but with different handles). Feedback I've gotten over the past few years is mostly negative: flimsy, very difficult to mount, holes weren't drilled correctly and the bumper ends drooped way down on the ends. Most guys said they looked decent once on the car but wouldn't recommend them.

I saw a pair of Vietnam bumpers for myself when a friend attended a car show I vend at every year. They looked nice but were very, very thin. The ends did droop — but not as much — since he re-drilled and bent his OEM brackets. He suggested I pull on the ends to see how flexible they were. I easily moved the ends upwards about 2" and could have gone further but didn't because I didn't want to possibly distort them. He was disappointed, but satisfied, and didn't regret the purchase since he was looking at well over $2k to plate his bumpers and overriders.

I wouldn't buy or recommend them.
