Got the headers all on after a painful install. Wire, plugs all in.
Not onto smashing on the collectors and it all just bolted up to the alignment tabs. One side was a bit tight and required some persuasion.
I wrapped the pipes as I had a couple of rolls (1 actually just did the job) of 2" header wrap. Then added the heat shield over that. I think it all should help keep the heat out of the car.
Mounting of the pipes was pretty easy, as the holes all aligned up with not much work, added a safety wire on the mid mounting bolt as it's a blind bolt into a rivnut and with the silicone bushing that holds the rear part of the exhaust on it's bound to come loose. Back bolt has a lock nut, so easier to deal with not cranking it crushing the bushing. Will see how they work, it's a bit tight fitting but I'll expect it will be OK.
Inching forward!
